I am a Program Officer for the Open Philanthropy Project, which I joined in 2014. I oversee a substantial part of the Open Philanthropy Project’s research and grantmaking in global catastrophic risk reduction. Previously, I led the creation of Open Phil’s grantmaking program in scientific research. Prior to that, I was a research fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University. I did a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Rutgers University, where I wrote a dissertation on the importance of shaping the distant future.
